What are we doing here? Are we creating or destroying? Are we part of nature or against nature? Are we living or dying, and what is left at the end? This dance is an exploration of ephemerality of each moment, and everything comes and goes, just like the waves of the ocean.

Re-Visiting Decroux, Selma brings to the New York scene some of Etienne Decroux’s original choreographies performed through a Brazilian lens; and original choreographies created from Corporeal Mime technique principals. The night will bring works where thoughts sculpt bodies.
The project is not just a revival, it is a re-visiting, bringing to the stage some of Decroux’s repertoire pieces with a Brazilian twist to it. Reconstructing in a new light, deconstructing the European baggage of it to re-present with Latin eyes.
